The Role

We are looking for US-based experienced, certified HCC risk adjustment coders to join our contractor network. You will review medical records, validate AI-suggested diagnoses, assign ICD-10-CM codes, and document MEAT evidence per CMS V28 model standards — all within our purpose-built coder workbench platform.

This is a remote, per-chart or hourly contract engagement. Volume will scale as our client pipeline grows; we are building the bench now so we can move quickly when engagements launch.

What You'll Do

- Review outpatient and ambulatory encounter documentation for Medicare Advantage members

- Validate AI-suggested diagnosis codes and manually add any missed diagnoses

- Document MEAT (Monitor / Evaluate / Assess / Treat) evidence per code, referencing specific source text in the chart

- Flag ambiguous documentation, legibility issues, or charts requiring escalation

- Participate in over-read / inter-rater reliability QA process

- Work within CMS V28 HCC model mapping standards

Requirements

- Active AAPC CRC (Certified Risk Adjustment Coder) credential — required, no exceptions

- CPC credential a plus

- Minimum 2 years of HCC risk adjustment coding experience

- Familiarity with CMS V28 model (knowledge of V24 → V28 transition strongly preferred)

- US-based; must be authorized to work in the US

- Own equipment: reliable computer and high-speed internet connection

- Comfortable working in a digital platform environment (training provided on our specific tooling)

- High attention to detail and commitment to coding accuracy and audit defensibility

Compensation

- Competitive per-chart or hourly rate (~30-35USD/hr), commensurate with experience

- Rates discussed individually during onboarding

What to Expect

- Fully remote, flexible schedule

- Identity verification required as part of onboarding (credential check, KYC process — required for PHI access compliance)

- All contractors handling PHI will be required to sign a Business Associate Agreement (BAA) as part of onboarding.

- HIPAA compliance is strict

- Volume scales with client engagements
